FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

Antennas (External Antennas)

What is an antenna and how does it work?

An antenna is a device that receives radio signals — just like the antenna in your car or your home router.

Its job is simple: improve how your router receives and sends the signal, which helps you get better and more stable internet performance.

Are antennas illegal?

Not at all.

An antenna is not a jammer — it simply receives the signal from the telecom tower and delivers it more clearly to your router.

It doesn’t need a separate power source; it gets power directly from the router.

Who needs an external antenna?

Antennas are perfect for:

• People with weak or unstable internet

• Anyone wanting to improve tower signal quality

• Gamers and streamers who need stable performance

• Users who want to lock onto a specific tower for better speeds

Does an antenna make my internet speed more stable?

It stabilizes the signal between your router and the tower, which helps improve speeds.

But the actual speed still depends on:

• Your telecom provider

• The server you’re connecting to

That’s why Speedtest and Fast may show different results even in the same spot.

Do antennas require maintenance?

Sometimes, especially if strong wind pushes against them.

To avoid issues, it’s better to use a grid or panel antenna, especially if the tower is close — they handle wind better and reduce maintenance needs.

Installation

Do you offer installation services?

Yes, installation is available in some Eastern Province cities, and will expand to more cities soon.

What does the installation service include?

• Aligning the antenna to the best tower

• Mounting the antenna in the ideal location

• Running the cable externally to the router’s location

Why isn’t internal wiring included?

Because internal wiring goes through narrow, twisted electrical conduits that may damage the cables.

This work requires a qualified electrician, so the customer should provide one if needed.

Internet

Is the antenna a replacement for internet service?

No.

Internet service comes from your ISP (telecom provider).

The antenna simply improves the signal quality so you get better performance.

Router Modifications

What does router modification mean?

It means removing or disabling the router’s internal antennas and adding external connectors.

Important notes:

• It voids the device warranty

• Must be done by a skilled technician

• Must be handled carefully to avoid electrical issues
